Merwenstein Guestfarm / Self-catering

Merwenstein Guestfarm is nestled in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Breederiver Winelands and situated on a working farm with breathtaking views, style & comfort.

Merwenstein  offers a remarkable landscape of orchards and vineyards as far as the eye can see.  Situated only 8km from midtown Bonnievale, the house was designed to offer guests maximum space and comfort, while enjoying nature and the peaceful farm atmosphere.  Ideal for family get-togethers, small functions, birthday parties, bachelor/ette parties or a small conference.  All meals / catering available on request.     

Three of our spacious bedrooms offers an own en-suite with shower and flows to the exterior patio through sliding doors.  Bedrooms with a smart tv, wifi, small fridge, microwave and coffee station for our guests comfort.  Merwenstein can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 bedrooms of which 1 room has an annex bedroom ideal for parents with small children or friends that do not mind sharing. PLEASE NOTE : now with solar – so NO LOADSHEDDING AT Merwenstein!

The large communal PANORAMA room offers panoramic views on the farm and the LARGE SWIMMING pool.
The PANORAMA ROOM includes a fully equipped open plan kitchen, comfy lounge and dining area with a ‘King Arthur’ round dining table, Alphine fireplace with inside & outdoor braai facilities.  NEW :  2 mobile wood fired hot tubs! Access to the river 850m away, and the farm dam is ideal for fishing (catch & release).  The swimming pool is wind & child protected. 

We provide all amenities as you would expect from a luxury establishment, meals is additional extra and small dogs are welcome on prior arrangement. 

For babies an old fashioned cot is available on prior arrangement.

On the same farm and a stone throw from the main guesthouse, is Huis Hendrik and Huis Truna that accommodates 12 more guests in 4 bedrooms (12 single beds).  We can accommodate for groups up to 30 when Merwenstein, Huis Hendrik and Huis Truna is booked.
