HISTORY : Your hosts, Theuns and Elana Coetzee are the proud owners of Bonnievale’s stylish and comfortable A Place in Thyme Bed & Breakfast. Their love for the beauty and tranquility of the countryside attracted them to Bonnievale, where they bought and restored an old country house into a contemporary and classic home and B&B.

The rooms are all elegantly designed around a beautiful and cozy private courtyard area and each room holds its own unique style.

DESCRIPTION : A Place in Thyme is nestled in the lush and peaceful town of Bonnievale in the Breede River Valley on the Route 62 in the Western Cape. Surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains, the vineyards, the fruit trees and the spectacular Breede River makes Bonnievale the quaint, tranquil and picturesque place which is ideal for relaxation and exploration.

Room 1 is a spacious and lovely family room with a bay window and is furnished with a queen-size bed and a ¾ bed. An exquisite en-suite bathroom with bath completes the suite. This room has a ceiling fan due to spaciousness and the room being cool during the summertime.

Room 2 boasts a modern rustic look and is ideal for a one-night stay. It is beautifully furnished with two ¾ beds and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a shower. Equipped with air conditioner.

Room 3 holds a classic Marilyn Monroe style from which a double French door opens onto a small private patio. It is furnished with two ¾ beds and a lavish en-suite bathroom with shower. This room is wheel-chair friendly. Equipped with air conditioner.

Room 4 is an elegant, romantic honeymoon suite. This warm, stylish room has a queen size bed and spacious en-suite bathroom with shower. This room also opens onto a small, private patio. Equipped with air conditioner.

All rooms are equipped with DSTV as well as a coffee and tea facilities which includes a kettle, coffee, teas, milk and sugar as well as bottled water.

FACILITIES : Guests can enjoy the cozy and private courtyard with swimming pool, braai facility and deck area, which is ideal for relaxing, socializing and cooling off – especially in the valley’s warm summer evenings. Upon request, guests have access to internet, fax and laundry service.

BREAKFAST : Your stay would not be complete without savoring Elana’s delicious English breakfast that is served every morning. Set in their stylish and homely dining room, guests can enjoy a full breakfast including fruit, yoghurt, breads, a hot plate of scrumptious eggs, bacon, sausage and tomato as well as coffee, teas and juice. Guests can decide what time they would like their meal to be served, or if they would like english, continental or even flapjacks for breakfast
