A private river camp on the bank of the Breede River offering camping facilities.

WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO SEVERE FLOOD DAMAGE, BUT WILL KEEP YOU POSTED

Camping sites are all fenced and with private bathrooms and electricity.

Situated on a working farm we offer a relaxed close to nature experience with lots of fresh air and lots of fun at the campfire. Although we lost about 100 trees during the recent flood we are replanting. We love trees and cannot be without them.

Kayaking on the river, photo or bird walks on the farm, hiking the Toktokkie trail up the koppie or biking and running in the area will keep you busy for a while.

For the fishermen, yes we have black bass and carp in the river ! For the fishermen who visited before, the landscape after the flood changed a lot and most probably you will like it much more !

Sandy banks sloping into the water makes it easier for the fishermen and to get in and out of the water !

On Saturday mornings at 8h00 you can do the Park Run at Weltevrede Wine Estate just outside Bonnievale and enjoy eats or coffee at Kapokbos afterwards, also on the Weltevrede Wine Estate.

A new kid on the block in Bonnievale is the Breede Xplore e – bike trails ! Find them at www.breedexplore.co.za if you want.

Breede Escape offers a nature encounter, a place to rest and reset. We do not allow bachelor, nudist or youth groups. We have a strict no music policy. Although we are pet friendly by prior arrangement, unfortunately we do not allow Pitbulls or Pitbull cross breeds. When outside your fenced campsite, please keep your dog leashed at all times.
